The opposite of conflict is peace. But peace isn’t merely the absence of conflict. Rather, it’s having harmony and goodwill in all of our relationships. Just because you’re not fighting with someone doesn’t mean you’re really at peace with them. And just because you’re not out to get revenge against the one who’s hurt you doesn’t mean there’s real harmony in your relationship either. Real peace comes from doing positive things toward them. It’s a result of taking the high road when they’ve injured you. And on that road, we “go the extra mile.” That brings peace. Comment here.
